Kiddisms is an app for parents to save the funny, sweet and surprising things their kids say. Everything you write is saved to your own Google Drive. We never keep a copy of your memories on our servers, and we do not read them. The only things we store ourselves are a small account record (your email and a few counts, never what your kids said) and a billing record if you choose a paid plan (see below).
When you sign in with Google, we ask for your name, email address, and profile picture, so the app knows who you are, and for permission to create and edit files in your Google Drive using Google’s drive.file scope. That scope only lets Kiddisms see files it created itself. It cannot browse, read, or touch the rest of your Drive.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not use it to train AI models, and we do not transfer it to anyone except as needed to run the features described here. No person at Kiddisms reads your Drive files.
Kiddisms’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Every kid you add (with their birthday, if you choose to add one) and every memory you write is saved as a plain file in your own Google Drive, under your own Google account. Kiddisms keeps no database of memories. When you open the app, it reads those files straight from your Drive to show you your memories, and nothing is copied anywhere else in the process.
Your sign-in session is kept in a cookie in your own browser, not on a server we control. That cookie is how the app proves it’s you the next time you open it. We keep no memory content. Sign-in tokens are stored in secure, encrypted-in-transit cookies in your browser, never in a database. We keep one small account record per parent so we know how many families use Kiddisms: your email address, when you joined, when you last opened the app and how many times, how many kids and memories you have (the numbers only, never names or what was said), your plan, and whether you reached a free plan limit. It is never sold or shared. If you upgrade to a paid plan, we keep one small record: your email address, which plan you’re on, and the Paystack reference for your payment, so the app knows you’ve paid. If you tick “Keep me posted”, we also keep your email address to send you occasional Kiddisms news. If you turn on reminders, we keep your phone’s notification address, how often you want a reminder, and your email address (so you can turn them off). Your kids’ names stay on your phone and are never sent to us for this.
Nobody. Kiddisms doesn’t use analytics, ad trackers, or any third-party service other than Google itself (for sign-in and for storing your files in your Drive), Paystack (only if you pay, to process your card securely; we never see or store your card details), Supabase (to hold the small account, plan and reminder records above), and OpenAI (only when you use voice capture: your recording is sent to be turned into text, then discarded. Kiddisms never stores the audio, and OpenAI doesn’t use it to train its models). Reminder notifications are delivered by Apple, Google or your browser’s own notification service. We don’t sell, share, or otherwise hand your data to anyone.
Deleting a kid or a memory in the app deletes it from your Drive right away. To remove Kiddisms entirely, delete the “kiddisms-profile.json” and “kiddisms-memories.json” files from your Drive, then revoke Kiddisms’s access from your Google Account permissions page. To remove your account, billing and reminder records from our side too, email raingworth@gmail.com and we’ll delete them within 7 days. That’s the whole account, gone, on your terms, at any time.
Revoking Kiddisms’s access from your Google Account, or just not signing back in, doesn’t touch your files. Since we never kept a copy anywhere, your kids and memories stay exactly where they’ve always been, in your Drive, waiting for you if you come back and reconnect.
Kiddisms is a tool for parents and guardians to keep, not a service aimed at children. Accounts are held by the adult who signs in with Google; kids don’t use or sign in to the app themselves.
